A "strat" is a guitar (specifically, a Fender Stratocaster). The violin is a Stradivarius. Of course the difference between a guy who spells his violins Strat versus Stradivarius is one who took the last piece of St Louis 'wood' :-) (no that's not an old Beatle song!}
The violin I carry with me in my Sportube is a Strat...The Sailplane currently sharing the Sportube is a Pike Superior. The string of luck I have had recently in consecutive contest wins has been split between CompFusIcon and Pike Superior with a few zigs and zags with an Organic.
The common denomintator is the pratice...always with a countdown clock and a target ;-) Gordy
