I have a device I bought for sharpening knives. Holds two round stones
about the diameter of pencil at about 60-70 or so degrees angle in a wood
base. Actually I have about 3 of these devices with different grades of
stone, from very coarse to near porcelain, I think this finest one is a
very smooth/dense aluminum oxide. I keep this finest one on the work bench
and periodically give the Xacto blades a stroke or two. I change blades
about once a year just outta habit. I have no idea where I got it, had it
for years. I'll see if there are any names or manufacture's id on it and
post to the list if I can find a source.
