I'm no expert, but have you checked the gear that is pressed onto the
motor's shaft? It's possible it's loosen up, Locktight makes a locking fluid that you apply AFTER assembly which might "lock" it back on, it's designed for screws , but it should work. I considered the idea of a loose pinion however it would then the motor would spin freely when the servo was powered up. And frankly the chances of a pinion losening is like zero...they are pressed on really hard, and the force at that point is super tiny...the torque comes from the gear up. The likely hood of it being a shot pot? Zero...pots today are good for like a million or so cycles. Palladium wipers and carbon face...no chance for contamination, even water has little affect (I tried one full of water and it never noticed).
Bretts last post said that he could spin the shaft without and arm on it. That would sure indicate a gear tooth sheared allowing free movement. or occassional operation.
The only other possibility would be EPP contamination syndrome...that's when the pilot has too much contact with foamies. :-)
