Look guys, not to take anything away from the Wright brothers but in the interest of historical accuracy, they DID NOT build their own engine. Their mechanic, Charlie E. Taylor built it. I must have heard this "they built their own engine themselves" myth one hundred times this week alone on TV and we all know how accurate TV journalism is. Yes, it came out of their own shop just like most of the inventions of Edison came out of his own shop. His employees came up with the ideas and he, (they) got the credit.
