You're missing out on some really interesting air. You get all kinds of interesting things happening with rain and frontal conditions. Actually, if you manage to be in the air at that magic moment when the other air mass arrives at your altitude, it can be pretty cool.

The best part, it this is usually one time where you can actually look up on the sky and see where the lift is.
