We now have 16 entries in the Wood Crafters Scale event. I believe this tops the number of scale entries in the Soar Nats or any other woody scale event.   Hugh Stock's glass fuse with wood built up flying surfaces kits were the big thing back then, but we will be seeing mostly wood construction on some very old designs.  Several of the entrants are bringing several  scale planes and we will be flying scale all for four days.

We have 68 overall entries in the four day WC event,  50 of them are signed up for the Wood Crafters Soar In Championships.

Everyone should be glad this is happening, because much of the new blood to rc soaring will come from guys starting with a woody.
I know a few BOT arf's will be with us, but haven't herd of someone coming with the Gentle Lady arf.  Two of the easiest ways for newcomers to get into sailplanes.

Does your club have one or more designated flight instructors the newbies can go to for help ?
