Being a person that lives in a "rural" area, at first glance, I would
whole-heartely support this proposal as it might allow me to connect to
the internet at a speed faster than 28.8K. We should not hit the
"panic" button, however, until we know more. Note the following quote
from the AMA web-site:

"Please understand, that as of this date, AMA has no solid evidence that
BPL can or will cause interference problems to our operations. "

At this point, the only evidence that there might be a problem fails to
identify either the frequncies or the range for which a problem may
exist. Until we know whether the possible interference has a range of 5
inches, 5 feet, or 5 miles, we are making a stand from a position of
ignorance, and that's a weak place to make a stand.

My point is, it is premature to say "we lost" until we know for sure
that there's a problem in the first place.

Regards,
Marty Timm
