Use spruce main wing spars and web (one side) with 1.5mm balsa (grain
vertical) right out. Web the other side for 3 or 4 bays out from root with
thin ply. Use good quality ply.  If a one piece wing use a hardwood (not
ply) joiner out at least 2 bays.         Good luck,      Angus
