[RCSE] "A big day of soaring in a big town"

Today it was ....nice in Fort Worth!  These guys really know the drill! When I come, they have a great field, super weather, and winch/retriever warmed up and waiting with good line!  They really have style :-) While the wind was up so were the thermals.  My Picolario chimed in at 1000' a few times while John Luetke and I were shooting 10s and landings. Everyone there had great and challenging soaring today. You guys need to visit Forth Worth for some Saturday soaring.. Bill and the boys are excellent sticks and smart air readers too!   Then after it was steaks at John's new patio deck and some ogling at the electrified 23' scale sailplane (HKM of course) he is building for a great guy in Little Rock.   In case you all don't know John is HKM USA and the source for the amazing TD sailplane, the Sharon and Space. A few low carb beers later, its over to my motel room, (a block from the contest site in the morning!).   Wish you all could have been there! Gordy Dallas tonite
