The OVSS series is a MOM series, if a club wants to draw the bulk of the OVSS pilots, that is the expected format.

Also, there are enough contests in the series where a pilot can choose which ones to attend and still make a full series. This means the clubs actually have to work hard to attract a large group of pilots that fly in this series. They understand that these pilots have to spend money and time to travel to away contests and expect a certain kind of contest that we fly in this series. The clubs do work hard, they invest in winches, score boards, the CD's understand the series rules and use them correctly. The contests I attend at DARTS, LOFT, CSS, SOAR, MIST, and Nats are of the highest caliber these days. And they keep improving season after season, each club emulating the best contest ideas of the other clubs in the series.

Just because your club is in the OVSS series doesn't mean the series pilots have to make that stop. And I didn't say I wasn't going to attend, either... I just said I hadn't made definite plans yet.

If any of the STL guys were flying in this series, including yourself, they would already understand much of this. I welcome your club to the OVSS, but please make an attempt to understand what it is.

Having been a CD for a long time it is my thoughts that the Cream of the

but would not support another group because it doesn't use it.
