JR receivers, with the exception of some recent expensive ones, are all single conversion. A circuitry called ABC&W was added to reject adjacent channel interference when they went to narrow band. None of the Circus radios used ABC&W was far as I can recall (I was a Hobby Dynamics dealer back then) so the answer is no, those receivers are not dual conversion nor are they narrow band.
