Motorola patented ABC&W in 1986 but I don't recall JR using it until the
1991 standard was announced in the late 80's. The frequencies you list
were the initial "even only" channel introductions and only
above/including channel 38. We later had all even channels and,
finally, the addition of the odd number channels in 1991. I'll have to
dig up my circus single stick heli radio to check but that receiver
number rings a bell but for some reason it went into storage back then.
I surmised 1991 made it unusable but that may not have been the case.
I'll go check in the morning. At any rate, the demise of Hobby
Dynamics/Circus saw JR come out from under the Circus branding. Does
your radio say Circus or just JR?
