Bummer! I am looking at sweet day to fly today and I have
'stuff' to do.
I have some lose servo mounts and linkages to tighten and straighten.
I did get a notice that ELV is now offering the updated version of their
Digital Altimeter/Vario/onboard volage reporter...which now features....
AIRSPEED! Real Time airspeed reporting! Not talking, but displayed on a hand held screen. Cost is just under $300, BUT I don't know the component sizes yet or if the installation has to be something specific. It isn't actually 'avaliable' yet, but should be soon. I had ordered
two of them but all the advert was in German, and I didn't catch the part that
it was the HeathKit version, so I got a box of parts, as in hundreds of
capacitors, resitors, transistors and chips...etc!
I'll keep you posted as I find out more, watch for the title "list
etiquette".... :-)
