In FMS there are ways to adjust thermal strength and frequency of bubbles. In addition by manipulating the screen resolution, colors, and control sensitivity, you can achieve realistic flight or ridiculously easy flight. The scale ships that Ken designs are the best I have seen designed for FMS anywhere. I find them very realistic. In fact Ken developed almost the full line of LET models for my site. I worked with him, and gave him feed back on what the planes needed to "feel" like. The HB Puchacz is almost exactly like my 1/3 scale model of same. Try some aerobatics. A simulator is only what it is, but try running down your thermal strength for a challenge. Also in FMS there are limits to the program and some anomalies, but for free it is pretty darn good.
