Hi guys,

A relatively new development is that they have lately been messing with my Sportube...AFTER it has been inspected and reclosed...along the way.

I stood with the TSA inspector on four seperate occassions, and they inspected and reclosed and relocked my Sportube, but when it got to the destination the lock was missing and the tube was free to slide open.

I demanded a TSA manager and a United luggage Manager to be together in order to figure out what it was going to take for me to comply with their needs and interests.  Also my Sportube is getting beat the crap on each trip.  The bottom corners caved in and the wheel axle bent.

United guy said file a claim, bring it in and they will send it out for repairs (stupid cuz there's no way they can fix what is damaged) and TSA says that once the luggage is inspected and sealed (with my lock or a TSA Aprroved lock from Home Depot, it has combination rollers on it edge and a common TSA key on its bottom) ..once it is sealed in my presence it is never opened again.

Neither could explain why the locks end up missing and they all have a form to fill out, which in the end spells out that they are only authorized to apologize, not actually do anything about it.

I have had two instances of actual TSA inspector vandalism (holes poked in the carbon wing and a broken vertical) so the Sportube has been protecting the contents perfectly against conveyors and packing....but not from people.  I am going to try the TSA lock thing, its pretty small or at least the one I saw at HD is so far and not sure it will fit the Sportube. I'll keep looking for others though.

DHL ships the Sportube really well for going to contests...for about $16 I think.

I'll keep this thread updated.
