2005. We realize some have already requested vacation, but hope this early
announcement will be early enough for people to change plans. The biggest
incentive for this change is to allow families to attend and not be hampered
by school function such as graduation and other end of school year
conflicts. (snip)

Hello Jerry and others,
Kudos to the new WOW for attempting to continue the MWSC.
I rarely find myself defending Alden Shipp, BUT --------
Having been to nine(?) of the eleven MWSCs, two from Germany,
helped establish and then maintained the SIG sponsorship for six(?)
years,
won my fair share of the races,
and even worked on a few of them;
When's the last time, if ever, YOU attended this event?
What have YOU contributed to this event?
How many people from Oregon have gone to the MWSC in the eleven years it's
been held?
There's nearly always going to be another event somewhere in the USA on the
same weekend. There's NO WAY that WOW can accommodate everyone.
Alden and 'crew' are trying to keep the event alive and picked a time period
that they hoped was a way to improve the event. Do YOU know what the
weather is like at that time of year in Kansas? I'm not sure where it
stated
they needed to consult YOU first.
If there's any 'typical thinking' going on here it's on YOUR part with YOUR
'typical egocentric "West Coast" attitude'.
How's the fit of the shoe so far?
I've sent my $15.00 for WOW membership, have you?
If it's possible for me to attend the WOW 2005 MWSC I am offering my help
for some of the events, will you?
SO, either contribute in a positive fashion or go away.
Flame suit on.
