Matt,
Everyone I know who is using Bergs are happy, except for me. They use them
in their upper-end sailplanes, too.

I am seeing an incompatibility between my Berg 5 DSP II receivers and my EVO
9. I have tried both a Synth and single crystal module in the EVO. Five
Bergs exhibited twitchiness at very close range, increasing uncommanded
servo motion with distance. Hitec has looked at the EVO and pronounced it
fine in all respects. Peter Berg is looking into the problem, and last I
heard he thought that the problem was just with the Synth. I just tried a
single crystal module and have seen the same problem.

I'll report back any resolution to the group, but in the meantime I suggest
to be cautious with this combination. All other feedback I have heard has
been very positive.

Subject: [RCSE] Opinions on Berg receivers?

I spotted some mention on the exchange which reminded me of an earlier
discussion on berg receivers and "locking in" a transmitter's signature.
Sounds great - what's your overall experience? Do I want to put these in
my mega-buck sailplanes? Do I NEED to put these in my mega-buck sailplanes?

Matt
