I am looking for a source of the thin
covering films used on indoor planes.
Anyone have a link?

Mark,
Are you looking for microfilm or just a thin "indoor" film?
Here are some "indoor film" links:
http://www.peck-polymers.com/
http://www.modelresearchlabs.com/products.htm
http://www.modelflight.com/weight.html (various indoor covering weights)
http://www.homefly.com/reference/covering_table.htm (more indoor covering weights)

If you are looking for microfilm, here's a link:

I can also scan you the pages from Frank Zaic's Model Aeronautics (1935-36), which gives a pretty good primer on making and pouring your own microfilm, which is how I learned it as a kid. And no I'm not that old, it was my Dad's book ;-)
