Charge rates @ C/1 are fine including your AAAA's as long as the charger
algorythm is geared for NiMH, and not NiCD.

There seems to be some unfounded concerns about charging regular duty (consumer
or commercial grade) NiMH cells at anything <C/10. This is simply not true with
modern NiMH cells (modern meaning typically lower internal impedence due to
updated design/manufacturing practices).

As far as no name (something you buy at Walmart, etc) versus name brand (eg:
Sanyo), there are differences in design and manufacture that may cause the no
name to demonstrate a lower mA/Hr, and/or fail earlier (electrically or
mechanically).

This shows up when a cell is subject to higher current rates, and/or severe
mechanical loading. "Higher" current rates in this case can be considered
double what the OEM rating was in the first place to determine Ma/Hr (if a cell
is tested @ 200mA, then 400mA would be considered higher).

So yes, there is a marked difference between consumer grade, commercial grade
(which is what we tend to see most often), then up for there. If you are
employing button-head equiped cells, most likely they are consumer grade, and
do not have typcial means for venting in the vent of failure (not enough poop
to cause a problem).
