It appears this servo has the same kind of dual side
mounting lugs as the 94141 of which I once had some 50.
I could never see any sense in those top and bottom
lugs. If you cut off what would be the top one, to screw mount through the
bottom one, you would need a base thick enough to secure a screw. That base
would take up vertical space.
If you had rails on a base and used the top lug, the
head of the screws would take up vertical space.
If you removed one of the dual lugs for "right"
or "left" mounting then the servo was rendered useless for opposite
mounting.
To me, in contrast, single lugs centered on the
side of the case, as on the Volz, makes very good
sense.
Can anyone explain how the Airtronics dual lug system
is supposed to be advantageous or utilized for mounting in thin
wings?
