Well, received pretty many responses since I had posted about a new laser-cutMinimoa kit from Japan. Tanimura-san has updated his web site and now you can watch video clips of Minomoa in flight. Go to Thermal-studio's web site at http://www.thermal-kobo.jp/, and scroll down. After moving down past a large Ka-8b and Minimoa images, click where it says "2005/01/05 " . I am sure you can figure out the rest. Seeing this plane thermal in a rather low altitude with couple of kites is a sight to see. Now, this Minimoa has a gel coated FG fuse and laser-cut wing kit. It sell for 68,250 yen. S&H from Japan will be added on top of that. As with the 5m span Ka-8b, laser-cut kit is 88,200 yen, ARC version is 262,500 yen and ARF version is a hefty 367,500 yen. Right now, US$1 is about 103 yen, so bang on your clculator to see how much it comes out to be. I do not know if they will export their kits. I will not function as an exporter because too many things can go wrong. I have flown their ASK21 (1.8m span) and a fun sloper called Presto. They are both well designed and a blast to fly. I have also have their 1/6 scale Habicht kit waiting to be built. One? too many future projects on hand.
