I've had an IC-R2 for years and wouldn't be without one now. I use it at work to monitor full size aircraft as well as monitor R/C bands. It's been through the wringer a couple of times and has bounced off of the tarmac more times than I like to admit but still keeps going strong. Highly recommended! The only band it won't cover is the cell phone band but you can even get that with the Japanese market version.
