The D pin leaves your plane accessible behind the wall. I have had 4
separate instances where someone dug around inside and damaged things using the
pin.
I had locks cut off and had the sportube come out on the belt off the
plane!
Get a TSA lock, DRAW a paint pen line around the edge where the tube is
supposed to stop and also write TSA LOCK with an arrow. You'll need to
make an adapter pin to go thru the spine like I showed in my TSA Lock RCSD
article...because TSA locks are too small to fit.
DEFINITELY use some kind of slabs on the sides of the vertical...or it will
end up bent.
I pack one plane in the JT Models Plane Pac and the wing panels in the JT
Tube Soxs.
Two planes pack in Tube Soxs and bubble wrap, no bag. Pack the tube FULL, to keep it from compressing. Not a big deal just
a precaution. I also have a photo of a sailplane between the handles. Just taped
in place.
