A few weeks ago I had offered to make some program available on a web site. A
preliminary attempt has been made to do that. A Zip file for both the Polar and
Airfoil template program can be found at:

http://myweb.cableone.net/regdave/

Some supporting documentation is available as well as a number of airfoil and
and Cd-Cl libraries for both programs.

The documentation isn't great but the programs are reasonably intuitive. Some
download and installation instructions are included on the web site.

These are both Visual Basic 6.0 programs and have run well on Windows XP. I
can't vouch for other platforms but WinME and 2000 should be supported as well.

If anyone downloads these, I'd suggest putting the ZIP files in separate
folders (Polar and Airfoil, for instance) and download the respective airfoil
libraries to those folders as well.

The source code isn't loaded yet but I'll try and set that up before too much
longer.

These programs will not appeal to a general audience (rather geeky, actually)
but I've found them useful over the years. There is a third program (Excel
spreadsheet) that I need to clean up and will post in a week or so.

Disclaimers:
- Files are a couple of meg so broadband downloads are better.
- The Polar program probably underestimates parasitic drag and is over
simplified for the DLG launch profile. As flight data becomes available later
this year, those errors will be corrected.
- The Airfoil program is an update to the original VB3 code published on the
UIUC web site (that code is no longer functional).
- I'm not a professional programmer so my apologies if it's not the smoothest
thing in the world.
- All files were virus checked before posting them.
