I fly both the Fazer and the Eraser. The Fazer is a really fast launcher, flyer and a fast landing plane. So it can really cover ground and get out of sink but is not as easy to land as the Eraser. The Fazer is really strong so it can take full launches without a problem while the Eraser is slow and fragile. The Eraser goes up in close to no lift and lands very slow, but can't take as hard of launches as the Fazer, and will fall out of the sky when there is sink. Having both I will fly the Eraser when there in little to no wind, and I will fly the Fazer when there is wind or bad sink because it has the ability to get out of the sink fast. Personally I like flying the Eraser in TD contests because it is so easy to land. For your friend, it really matters what type of plane he likes and if he will be flying F3j or just TD. If he is ever going to fly F3j then definitely go with the Fazer, and if he likes a plane that can cover a lot of ground go with the Fazer, but if he likes a plane that is a real landing machine, and will go up in light lift then go with the Eraser. Personally I like flying the Eraser in TD contests because it is so easy to land.

I've heard extremely good things about the Fazer as an F3B ship, but a friend was wondering about whether it would be a better or worse choice than the Eraser for TD. Any help appreciated!
