I fly on 53.2. I have never experienced a conflict. In fact, I have been in only a few contests where there was another flyer on the ham bands. Although I picked 53.2, it is generally safer to fly on one of the 50 Mhz frequencies, because apparently there are a few ham repeaters on 53.1 and 53.2. If I had researched that before I bought all these receivers, I might have chosen differently. Check with your local repeater coordinator.
