Rob, I doubt very many of us modelers need the extra heavy duty product like the Foredom stuff for our modeling projects. I think what Jack was basically trying to say is that for our needs Dremel is hard to beat. I have two Corded models and one Cordless Dremel and do not know how I ever managed to build a plane before I got my first one. Thanks to Barry mentioning the Max Repair Cost Chart that Dremel has, I just sent my Cordless Model in today for Repair or Replacement for $28.00 dollars. For those heavier duty jobs that I do once in a blue moon, I do have Black and Decker Die Grinder that works just fine for those kinds of projects. If I was doing the kind of work you do on a daily basis, I would be right there with you looking to get the Foredom stuff. Just a little too expensive for my light duty needs though.
