FWIW... $3/gal gas is closer for some of us than others. prices for gas down here are murderous.
~$2.70 average for regular ~$2.80 average for premium and rising. most folks here own SUVs and spend inordinate amounts of time idling in traffic and climbing mountains - all with the A/C on full-blast - so the Hwy MPG rating is useless - most get under 12 MPG one of my flying mates owns a Durango with Dodge's Monster 5.9L V8 (pre-Hemi). sixty + bucks to fill the tank! 8 MPG! There are TWO (2) people here that own H2s. They don't get out much anymore. Folks - if you come here on vacation and decide to rent a car - be sure to select the subcompact.
