It is unique in that it uses a tail rotor built into the rudder for yaw, instead of using a rudder. The box is its' carry/protective case. You could mail it in the box safely. It comes completely ready to fly, except for 6 AA batteries for the TX/Charger. Yep the Tx is the plane's charger. You simply pull the battery out of the bottom hatch in the plane, and plug it into the charging socket in the TX. The battery has a mood dot (thermal sensitive color changing dot) which tells you that the battery is charged...but you can tell just as well by felling the heat build...and it gets really warm when it is charged. Anyway, you cut some trim tabs lose on the rudder, ailerons an elevator locations. Then give it a toss motor off to check that it is flying VERY straight and flat If it curves, you will have a challenge keeping it on the field Flying it is a ball, it flys really well and climbs out pretty well specially when it hits a thermal. The way it is set up, the motor on causes it to climb, plenty of up thrust. It climbs, stalls and climbs again. Using the tail rotor is a trick to get it to come around, but it does work. I found that pulsing it provides more force. Did I mention its a lot of fun? It is a Park Flyer only in size, it is not something you would attempt to fly indoors or in an area where there are a lot of trees bordering the perimeter. It is durable, cuz I bopped it in a few times. Wind is not its friend...so calm weather or light breezes is best. Fun stuffRCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
