Well, I got my unofficial hour for my LSF level 4. I say unofficial because I didn't have a watch started. The skies were partly to mostly cloudy with light E-SE winds. My first flight of the day with my AVA was a disaster as the trims were all off. I got a crummy launch but still managed 10 minutes. As the day wore on, an inversion layer developed and once you got above it, the whole sky was going up. The funny thing was, no matter how much the pilot screwed up, the AVA kept going up! I flew it inverted, did loops, rolls, spins, flew fast, flew slow; it really didn't matter what I did the plane kept going up. It was a riot.
If you are considering an RES model, please don't buy an AVA, it's a pile of junk and doesn't fly worth a darn. In stead, get an ARF Gentle Lady or BoT, but not an AVA. They definitely aren't worth the $. Now, as far as servos go, the 341's are a good choice as are the HS 81/85's. I have 368's on the rudder and elevator because they came with my 9303, but the other servos mentioned will be great. George Voss RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
