There isn't just one good plane available at the moment.  Yes, I know the Ava is a great plane but if you are having such a tough time why not be open to other good, high performance planes like the Ava.  Have you considered the Soprano from Isthmus Models?  It's a beauty and it's winning contests.  It's a newer model so maybe you have never seen one before.  Here's the URL: http://www.isthmusmodels.com/pages/soprano.html  Mark Miller offers this model.  I can tell you from first hand experience that he is a pleasure to do business with.   Dave Edmunson sells a model similar to the Ava.  It's called the Ukrainian Buzzard.  I don't have Dave's web URL but his e-mail address is:  [EMAIL PROTECTED]  Dave is an old free flight champ who helped develop the Buzzard.   Both of these guys will respond quickly to your needs.   Frankly, I've done business with Barry Kennedy before and always found him to be helpful and reliable but since it sounds like Traun is about to see the top of his head blow clean off his shoulders I thought this might be of interest.   One thing though that Traun and other yelpers ought to know.  This is a hobby.  It is not life or death.  The people that supply these models to you are modelers themselves.  They have jobs, families and other time constraints.  You are not dealing with large companies with a staff to help.  The bitchers and complainers are the reason that many of these people throw in the towel and say;  "to hell with this business.  I can't stand dealing with the jerks.  I'm closing up shop."    It only takes a few impatient, immature, short tempered, whiners to screw things up. Give Barry a break why don't you and if you can't do that cancel your order and get something else but please save your anger for when it's really important.  Life is too short.   Of course that's just my opinion. ----- Original Message ----- From: GRW To: 'Soaring Digest' Sent: Saturday, April 09, 2005 3:28 PM Subject: RE: [RCSE] Barry Kennedy and Kennedy Composites I had the same problem as Tuan Le' and I wrote Barry a couple of times just recently.  Finally I said if it hasn't ship just cancel the order.  I had the plane 2 days later.  Here's the real problem, Barry has the market cornered on the AVA.  From what I can tell it's the superior or one of the superior planes for RES.  Unfortunately you can't get it from anyone else, trust me I tried since I have a very good friend that is one of Vladimir's distributors.  This to me is tough when you want a specific plane and only one resource.  If that resource is busy or out of stock you are hosed and have to wait.  Anyway, I got my AVA and it's a beautiful plane but I was a bit irritated to say the least at the time frame it took me to get it.  Oh and yes it was in stock when I ordered it.  Anyway....things happen good luck Tuan Le' I'm sure you will like the plane.   ---------- Glenn W.
