FWIW, I totally concur with this. And, BTW, I found the probability discussion interesting in this context. One (or more) individuals should not attempt to dictate to the rest of us, who may well still be interested, precisely when a thread should die. Assuming no severe breach of policy or etiquette has occurred, a thread should be allowed to die from 'natural causes'. Of course, threads can always be resuscitated at some point in the future when someone gets the urge. Those who are uninterested can simply ignore it.
