[RCSE] "one thing I have learned about those cool mini electric helis"

Okay a bunch of things... They still are heli's and while you can fly them, never having flown a heli before...as in all around the field.. Landing is gonna be a crash and parts.   When I ordered my 'ready to fly right out the box' heli, I said, give me double of all the spare parts I am going to need to keep this thing flying.   I got rotors and head parts and well none of what breaks.   The landing skids break The Tail rotor breaks The Flybar Paddle shaft breaks   And they break a lot if you get as frustrated at trying to hover and land like I have. If you decide to get any of the current fixed pitch electrics (most are in the $270 range ready to fly with everything in the box)  Get three sets of all above. The rotors swivel out of the way so pretty unlikely to get damaged, same for the simple head components.   Is it 'fun'  not sure I would describe it as that, but I have flown everything from sailplanes to turbines, electrics up to 108cells, sailplanes up to 7m, giant scale gas, ducted and rocket powered...so it is time that I finally figured out choppers...at least so that I can hover and land :) gordy Should have borrowed a simulator
