Yes, I got one when I bought my first lipo pack. I only wish it had an AC
power input so I could use it indoors for cycling, I'm going to eventually get
a
recycled computer power supply and build it as the AC/DC source for this, but
I'm in no hurry. AC/DC capability adds considerable expense to these chargers.

The Triton has memory registers and can recognize a pack it's charged before,
so once you've set parameters for a pack and stored them in memory, it will
say: "Hey I know this guy, this is old number three, you want 2.6 amps, right?"
and you just have to hit the "go" button and forget it. The multiple audio
alerts you can select are more annoying than the average phone ring tone,
didn't
think that was possible;-) They're cutesey, is all, and not so loud as to
annoy unduly.

The thing about the banana plugs is to watch what aftermarket plug bodies you
buy, get some that are insulated ALL the way down to the end, so there's no
chance of a short right at the unit. That other comment about being half-unh
ooked at the pack end and shorting... sounds unlikely to ever happen in normal
use to me, but that's only my own opinion. Back to the banana plugs, I would
unhook them for storage, as they could get stressed and maybe damage the unit
where they attach into it, knocking around in the trunk and whatnot. A few of
these have been returned with problems with the multifunction knob
selector/switch, but they are under warranty so no worries. Mine works just as
advertised,
got the extra thermal probe to use on the Lipo packs, as an extra bit of
insurance. I think the unit is a good value, I shopped quite a while and read a

lot of reviews and user opinions before I went ahead and got it. Something
better may come out next week, but this should handle all my needs for several
seasons to come, and I can put away all the cheaper old clockwork-driven
non-peak-detecting junk chargers I was using. One of those failed the clockwork
part
the other day, could have roached a NiCad pack except it failed in the "off"
mode instead of staying locked "on" full power for an hour or two. So the
triton, with three backups (settable digital timer, peak detect, and thermal
cutoff) is inherently safer for your packs and your homeowner's /auto insurance
policy.
