Thanks guys for a very fun contest this past weekend. I have not flown competitivly for a couple years due to one reason or another, but this past weekend reminded me how much I enjoy hanging out with other sailplane enthusiasts.
OVSS #1 was a great deal of fun for me and I was lucky enough to surprise myself in a couple areas. Team JR's support was awesome and winning two 368's can never be a bad thing ( esp. since I had used one of my spares Saturday night! ). Steve S. did a great job of keeping the contest rolling along and even with 40 people on Saturday, it went smoothly. The weather was great on Saturday, and challenging on Sunday. Thank you Steve, Marc, and everyone from the CSS who made this thing possible and thanks JR for the support!!!!! I switched from Futaba a while back because of the awesome 9303 and the positive support from JR on different events is great. I fly IMAC also and it is the same there too. JR rocks! Since it has been a while, I didn't feel comfortable winching my plane so special thanks to Ron Mong, Paul Seigel, and Tom Siler for the assistance. It was nice seeing people from a couple seasons ago and meeting new faces as well! I can't remember everyone's name, but it was a pleasure talking to everyone there. Evey you Gordy :) Brian Smith- I hope you got your wing stress inspection done on your plane after the powerdive. It was great meeting you after coversing over the net for a while. I have one question- is there a single collated list of contests for the rest of the seasons. Some dates have changed on some websites and maybe it's just me but a single place would be awesome.
