Just wanted to take a minute to let you know that Bill Malvey underwent 6.5 hours of surgery to remove a growth from his brain today. He is in recovery and the prognosis looks great. The good news is they went in through his nasal passage so there is no major trauma. More tests will be performed tomorrow and we'll know more in the coming days. I'll be returning to the hospital tomorrow and will hopefully get to see him and will report back tomorrow.
Bill will probably be upset that I posted this but I'm excited that everything went well. And, according to his wife, Bill was in his usual form talking away to the staff before going in to surgery. Sounds like they pushed the "night night" drugs a little early to get him quiet!!!!! Keep him in your thoughts this weekend. If you are flying dedicate a flight to him. Darwin N.
