Could someone in the know post a definitive answer as to whether "skegs"(yes the dreaded "S" word) will be allowed at the contest.I'd rather grind them off now instead of an hour before the first round.

Effective January 1, 2005, the AMA rule ban on Skegs in RES has been deleted. Skegs have always been allowed at the Mid South. I have never flown in a contest that banned skegs in any class except for the Nats and that includes Visalia, Phoenix, and the Tangerine. Skeg ban seems to be a midwest invention. It certainly never came out of the South. :-)
