Thanks Richard for a great two days of flying! I got more stick
time in this weekend than I have in all of 2005 (and I fly most days the
weather cooperates). The weather was made to order and the sod farm was ideal
to fly from. The retrievers on the winches and the golf cart for the Hi-Starts
kept things running fast and efficient. Your awards were a work of art. Someone
should put a picture of them on the web. You though of everything with
humongous subs that were outstanding for lunch, to the dinner you organized Saturday
night. Everywhere you looked was smiles. The spouses had a ball also, and Linda
just kept saying, “I had such a good time” all the way home while we laughed
about the weekends happenings. Only one thing to change for next year. You need
to put a minimum bit on the auction items so you cover some of your cost. An
electric Gnome kit for $1 or a 60’ gnome kit for $26 is just not fair to you
and has to add to you expense. Thanks again for a great time! Linda asks that you not forget to
invite your sister next year. Her travel stories were wonderful. She sure lived
in some interesting places that are now changed forever. John --------------
Original message -------------- Very
moderate breezes, only a chance of thunderstorms, more flying then you’ve ever
done at this event. Two one day, 4 event gatherings, ($15/day). Come
out and enjoy. Four all wood kits on the silent auction. Come one, come
all.
