Hello to all,

I'm setting up my first electric full house sailplane (Muller Escape)
and would like to know what other Stylus users have for their basic
setup.  So far, I'm using the F5B setup described ever so briefly in
the glider card manual.  I'd like the flaps to remain on the "throttle
stick" and be fully retracted when the stick is all the way forward.
However, I'd also like the throttle to be on the same stick.  Is this
the "norm" or even practical?  I've contemplated putting the motor
control on the right slider switch.  I'm open for suggestions.  Please
let me know what you've learned.

Thank you,

Mike
Mike,
I've been flying this setup for a long time (I've even got the trileron servos on mine).

The F5B template is not very useful, since it puts both flaps on the same channel.  This means you lose the ability to mix ailerons into flaps, and one flap servo may need to be reversed.

The most practical setup is to use the standard 2A2FER template that is normally used for sailplanes.  Channel 8 (gear) will be your motor control.  The spring loaded switch on the left is usually used for motor, so assign your gear channel to that.  If you want, you can also set up a timer to keep track of motor run time.

Forget about using the left stick as a throttle.  For sailplane guys, that is the flap stick.    Variable throttle is not needed or wanted in a sailplane.  You're either climbing or soaring, so a switch works fine.

Good luck,
Lenny
