Speaking of Beardsley's kid (Brandon) the stabs fell off on a highstart launch during practice on Friday and his Fusion augered in and was totaled. Fellow Seattle Area Soaring Society past Pres. Bill Henley volunteered his back up plane and Brandon flew the contest with a Spot Dorker, took some "Daryl dollars", and placed 2nd in Juniors.
