I can attest to the longevity of the BAT winches.  I’m not slamming any other brand, but IMHO the BAT winches are by far the absolute best winches made.  They went through an unending series of upgrades, keeping it at the forefront of winch development.  The spool and spool mount utilize ball bearings to not only keep the drum rotating freely, but also keep the spool aligned perfectly.  All parts are either painted, stainless steel or aluminum to keep things from deteriorating.  I’ve had my winch for over 20 years and I’m in the process of rebuilding it.  The only reason I’m rebuilding it is because the frame’s paint is faded and chipped.  This time I’m painting it with K&B paint.

If you are looking for a TOTL (top of the line) winch, this one is it!  gv
