Airtronics did this years ago. My Infinity 1000 has embedded software to support RF channel selection, all it required was the appropriate RF module. No dials to turn, just select from the touch panel… There was also a companion synthesized receiver (10 channel) that you cabled to the Tx, and set to the newly-selected transmit freq.
