Guys, Gordy is a lot of fun to fly with and a pretty tough competetor. Conditions were not the best but all were in good spirits and having fun together. I was nipping at his heels and eventually got third with a Compulsion. Gordy is a fine timer. However, I was gloating a bit about beating him on one round until I realized that he had a line break and I got a good launch. Darn, that doesn't count. Remember also that Rick just loves to fly two meter and is darn hard to beat no matter what he is flying! I keep trying but it doesn't happen but once in a blue moon. In october we had an FSS contest for two meter and RES on saturday. Conditions were blustry and a bit cloudy. And, it was MY DAY. Did everything right for a change with my Image and beat Rick. Both of us beat everyone else. So don't be hard on Gordy, after all, he was second with a bit of bad luck. BUT, watch out for Rick with a two meter - he flys that thing like Stern plays the fiddle !!
