Today, we (Dick Hanson & I) range tested Spektrum in the air. The Spektrum receiver was installed in my power plane on throttle only, the rest was controlled by Futaba with PCM receiver. I was piloting the plane (Diablotin Super, 62" wingspan,1200 sq in wing area)with altimeter on board, Dick was the throttle master. The plane went so high, that we could barely see it but we could hear the engine was still running. The Spektrum has been working flawlessly! Upon landing, the altimeter reads - 1940 ft max. I was quite surprised by Spectrum performance, Dick (die hard JR dude)by Futaba still working at that distance. ed
