Depends on how "install to hard drive" is done. Yes, if when copied to the hard drive it doesn't lose its ability to boot/run with other graphics cards etc. i.e. I can remove that hard drive and carry it to another machine and plug it in and it still works. I suggested 'transportable Sugar distributions' in a separate note. (Catching up with this thread.)
