Hello, we have two applicants for the HPC project so far, i.e. William Garcia and Dominique Belhachemi. My heart beats for Dominique since he is very proactive and needs the HPC functionality for his thesis work, but, well, we'll see.
For the HPC I got Sven Trautmann from Sun as a co-mentor. He is preparing the HPC RPMs (er, I should have said "stack"). I met him on last year's supercomputing conference in Hamburg. You would like him. For the Open Moko d-i we have Thibaut Girka on the hook who is making an excellent impression on me. He already communicated with a series of individuals on the list and brings folks together. Very, very, nice. Sadly, I don't have anyone for my interaction of apps for bioinformatics on the desktop, which is with nescent, not with Debian. I would not like to have the students compete too much in their applications, I must admit. This pending time now is just rendering them unproductive IMHO. But, I know, I don't make the rules. Cheers, Steffen _______________________________________________ Soc-coordination mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/soc-coordination
