Hi all, I received mail from the Debconf Newbies (for sponsoring first time Debconf participants) and they informed me that they had to decline half of the applicants including me. I also received mail from the regular sponsoring today, where they informed me that I will be probably sponsored (according to my position in the queue) but maybe not fully. The question is: If I don't get the full sponsoring, I will need parts of the 500 dollars to participate to Debconf 10 in NY. What are the next steps? In the form you asked the mentors to fill, I explicitly stated that I'm fine using the 500 dollars to sponsor the student as long as my own costs are fully covered, otherwise I want that money to be used to cover my own traveling and accommodation costs.
