Hi, This week has been productive. I have been able to include all the fields provided in the DEP-11 draft[0].
Although, the code[1] needs to be modularized a bit more for better maintenance and readability. Now, I am able to read a deb package and return Component data as python dicts. The list, thus obtained, is then dumped to a file using PyYaml in yaml format. I am able to read both the xml files as well as the .desktop files, which was the agenda for this week. Next week, I'll will be looking at the DAK database part. I've already written some code[2] during the application period.
