Week 8 status report This week I finalized the IM component for the Jscommunicator and pushed it to the im branch on GitHub.
I packaged bccontrib for Debian as it's one of the jitsi dependencies. As a side project I am going through the list of Jitsi dependencies to make Debian/Ubuntu packages so that as a result Jitsi will be easier to package. xTuple recently launched a web-based version of their xTuple ERP suite (the traditional version is a Desktop client). We are proposing integrating JSCommunicator into their product. This is an excellent experiment to test jscommunicator's modularity. I've been in close communication with Steven Hackbarth and Linda Nichols from xTuple. I spent an unfortunately large amount of time setting up the development environment, but I've already been able to add a SIP account extension to the XM.User object. This would facilitate a phonebook functionality on xTuple and the idea is to hyperlink the contact info to make a call on jscommunicator. A lot of discussion is underway with regard to the design of this new component. On a different note, I organized my presentation for Monday's conference on Open Source contribution hosted by Yehuda Korotkin. _______________________________________________ Soc-coordination mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/soc-coordination
