How Tradesy Makes Selling Women's Clothing Simple, with Tracy DiNunzio
----
If you're a woman with unwanted--but fashionable--clothing in your
closet, which you wish you could sell, what's the easiest way to sell
it? It might just be Tradesy (www.tradesy.com), a brand new service
which lets women sell their unwanted clothing via a mobile app or
website--and even takes care of dealing with shipping and returns. The
site is the brainchild of Tracy DiNunzio, who took her experience
running RecycledBride.com and is now applying the same concept to
women's clothing. Tracy tells us how she bootstrapped her business by
renting out both her bedrooms and sleeping on the couch--funding the
startup via Airbnb--and is now scaling out the business with a new
round of venture capital.

What is Tradesy?

Tracy DiNunzio: Tradesy is a peer-to-peer, fashion marketplace for
women. We are making it safer and (More...)

Promenade, as Stubbs, Alderton & Markiles LLP, one of the Los Angeles
legal firms focused on the high tech market, announced a grand opening

Brand Affinity Technologies Buys Printroom's Fan Photography Business
----
Irvine-based Brand Affinity Technologies, the latest startup from the
Steelberg brothers, said Thursday that it has acquired the fan
photography business of Printroom. Financial terms of the buy were not
disclosed. Printroom's Fan Photography business provides photo
keepsakes -- photos on the field, sports team photo mouse pads, and
more -- for the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAA sports teams, and other
customers. Brand Affinity Technologies (BAT) was founded by Ryan and
Chad Steelberg, who sold their last company, dMarc, to Google in 2006;
the two also founded AdForce (sold to CMGi) and 2CAN Media (also sold
to CMGi).

TigerText Hits 250 Healthcare Customers
----
Santa Monica-based text messaging provider TigerText reported Thursday
that it now has more than 250 healthcare facilities using its HIPAA
compliant messaging platform. The firm, which provides secure text
messaging for enterprise customers, says it more than doubled its
customers in the last three months due to demand from the healthcare
industry. TigerText's text messaging services are encrypted and HIPAA
compliant. The company is venture backed by Easton Capital and New
Science Ventures.

RightScale Adds New Customers
----
Santa Barbara-based cloud deployment software developer RightScale
said Thursday that it has added three new customers, bringing its
total number of software-as-a-service providers to more than 100. The
firm said that Progress, Pearson Education, and Resumator are using
its products to deploy and manage their software-as-a-service
applications for customers in cloud environments. Impact of hte
various deals was not disclosed. RightScale's software is used by
software-as-a-service companies to manage updates and deployment of
their software into the cloud. RightScale's products work in public,
private, and hybrid cloud environments.

RewardTag Helps Users Recover Lost Devices
----
If you've ever lost a cell phone, camera, or other electronic device,
you know how hard it is to find it again--and how low the odds are of
actually having a stranger find it and return it to you. A Hermosa
Beach startup, RewardTag is looking to solve that problem, by letting
users reward people who return those lost devices to the owner. The
service allows owners of a device to offer up any reward amount -- and
even adjust that reward -- to encourage returns on those devices, via
a special ID number and sticker you place on your devices. The tags
are available for purchase via the firm's website, and RewardTag also
has a deal with Logitech to include those RewardTags on its line of
Ultimate Ears ear buds. RewardTag, which is headed by Brian Nichols,
recently revamped and relaunched its site.

Aperio Acquisition Completes
----
The acquisition of Vista, California-based Aperio by German firm Leica
Biosystems has completed, the firms said Thursday. Aperio, a maker of
digital pathology and slide digitization systems, and Leica had
announced the deal on August 21st. Financial details of the buy were
not disclosed. Aperio was venture backed by HLM Venture Partners,
Galen Partners, Advanced Technology Ventures, Acadia Woods Partners
and BlackRock Alternative Advisors.

International Rectifier Gets $100M In Credit Facility
----
El Segundo-based integrated circuit maker International Rectifier said
this morning that it has raised $100M in four year, senior unsecured
credit facility. The funding came from a group of lenders led by Wells
Fargo Bank, National Association, along with JP Morgan Chase Bank NA,
HSBC Bank USA, National Association and Bank of the West. The company
said the facility will go towards working capital, acquisition, stock
repurchases, and other general corporate use. The facility is at an
interest rate of LIBOR plus 1.25 percent. International Rectifier is a
developer of power management ICs, used across a wide range of
electronics products.
